The Webmistress

My name is Hannah. Nice to meet you. I know you're probably expecting a list of goofy nicknames, but I really don't have any. Hard to believe when you've got a name as uncommon as that, huh? Anyways, if you ever decide to come searching for me, try the Northern Hemisphere. That would be a good place to start. My wild, demonic cat, Socks, is my baby and I love her dearly.

Since I got Socks in February of 2007, I've had a slight obsession with cats. Actually, that summer, I developed the imfamous Kitty Talk. What is Kitty Talk, you ask? Here. I'll give you an example.

Kitty Talk: Oos! My lil bookie beah! Say yo momma wuvs yoo, yoo lil babeh! Du so pretteh! Say dah, momma, ah kyoot.
English Translation: Oh! My little bookie bear (nickname for the cat)! Your momma loves you, you little baby! You're so pretty! (narrating for cat:) Yeah, momma. I'm cute.

As a person, I think I have a good sense of humor. I don't know if others agree with me, but hey. As long and I think I'm funny. I like to make people happy, and I especially like to make them laugh. It makes me feel good inside. Most of the time I prefer giving than getting. That all changes around Christmas and my birthday, but most people are like that. Right? Anyway, I have trouble minding my own business. If I'm taking a walk and I see two little old ladies chatting across the street, I always think that, for some strange reason, they're talking about me. I don't like having secrets kept from me and I recently discovered that I'm not too keen on surprises. Athletics never really interested me. Neither did parties, dances, or other social events. Now, I'm not anti-social, but I'd rather chill at home and watch a good movie with some friends than go to, say, a party. But I always go to school dances for the experience. I have a tendancy to remember and remind my friends of very old inside jokes to the point where we wonder why we ever thought they were funny. I also repeat myself a lot. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor.

I'm sure you don't care about my taste in music, but just in case you do, I'll talk about it. My favorite band of all time is a group from Gainesville, Florida, in the USA (nowheres near where I live, but I decided to throw in that info anyways) called Less Than Jake. I discovered them when I was in fifth grade and decided to buy the soundtrack for Digimon: The Movie. "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads," one of LTJ's songs, was definitely my favorite on the soundtrack. I eventually bought their "Hello Rockview" CD, which had "ALl My Best Friends Are Metalheads" on it. I wasn't fond of the CD at first, but the bright, happy sounds with their interesting lyrics got through to me and I fell in love. I now own all of their albums that came out after 1997 (except for "Goodbye Blue & White" and "B is for B-Sides -- I feel guilty buying albums with parental advisories on them...) Some other artists I like are Vertical Horizon, Lifehouse, Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, and quite a few others.

Email hannah@leaving-town.org

Before you decide to contact me, let me set some things straight.
1.) Don't ask me how old I am. I'm not going to tell you. Don't ask me where I live, either. Actually, don't ask me anything personal. You'll either get a stupid answer that makes very little sense or you'll simply be ignored.
2.) Don't ask me anything about web design. I'm not very good at explaining things as it is, especially something as complicated as web design. I'll most likely respond with "Patience, a good tutorial, and a lack of sanity." And then I'll ignore you.
3.) I will help you with anything computer graphic-related. But only if you have Paint Shop Pro. I don't have Photoshop and therefore I can't help you. And I refuse to help you with Paint. If you're an aspiring graphic designer, you need to count the money in your piggy bank and go buy Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.
4.) If you find any errors on my site, CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY! Broken links, images not showing up, anything -- please tell me!
